This product is mainly used in the making of liquid bleach; as a general sanitizer; for water treatment and purification; in the manufacture of industrial catalysts; for paper bleaching and de-inking, etc.

Sodium hypochlorite is a transparent or slightly cloudy greenish-yellow liquid, with a 1.2 Kg/L density; its main quality is its reactivity or property of easily liberating chlorine, which gives it its commercial value.

Sodium hypochlorite is a product which cannot be stored for a prolonged time; it must be kept in clean sealed containers, with a coating of PVC, glass fiber, or some other material which is resistant to the product, in a cool place, away from sunlight and metals, as well as from organic materials, acids, and ammonium compounds.
